The Dell on Dell Story: How we use our products, solutions and services to protect

It seems that it is almost daily that we hear about massive data breaches and the risks for one have never been greater. Security is always top of mind for every CIO as they implement technologies into their environment and in the ever connected world we live in, it is imperative that we protect everything in our environment from the device to the cloud, but also still allow our people to be productive and innovative while they are safe.

Ca Dcim

Headquartered in New York, CA Technologies has been in the DCIM market for some time. Prior to coining the term DCIM, CA’s management model was referred to as Operational Energy Management and Data Center Infrastructure and Energy Management. A Green US Data Center with an Autonomous Power Supply

A new data center in the United States is generating electricity for its servers entirely from renewable sources, converting biogas from a sewage treatment plant into electricity and water. Siemens implemented the pilot project, which recently went into operation, together with Microsoft and FuelCell Energy. The data center is not connected to the public power grid. Siemens developed and installed intelligent control and monitoring technology for the plant as well as energy management software so that the servers can be reliably supplied with electricity at all times. The partners intend to demonstrate that using intelligent hardware and software, even critical installations such as data centers can be reliably operated with alternative energy sources.

Optimizing Entire Data Center Without Breaking Budget

We have more users, more workloads, and a lot more data traversing the current cloud and data center platforms. Trends are indicating that this growth will only continue. When it comes to data center growth and big data, there something very important that needs to be understood. The value around data and information is much higher than it ever was before. With that in mind, content delivery, user optimization, and data quantification are critical aspects to the modern business.

UC&C Depends on Network Infrastructure – No Jitter

For a UC&C system to be useful, it must be reliable. Why must this point be made? Isn’t it obvious? Of course, the UC&C system hardware itself must be properly configured and functioning. However, the complexity of the infrastructure that is used by the UC&C system often makes it difficult to determine the cause of a problem or to make sure that there aren’t problems lurking within the infrastructure.

Enterprise System Monitoring – Value versus Cost

For the last 8 months I’ve focused most of my customer facing efforts on Foglight accounts that use Foglight for Enterprise System Monitoring. I engaged these accounts in the acting role of Customer Success Manager and have been active on a weekly basis in that role for many of these accounts. The Enterprise classification simply means that a firm monitors one or more technologies, on more than 100 and up to tens-of-thousands of servers.
